I loved my dad. He was a great example of a 'If it's to be, it's up to me". I learned from my dad that there is a way to make money in everything you do. Having the mindset to do it takes practice, and you must question everything. I took a friend to help me get some used truck parts from a pick-and-pull. I needed some window switches and small parts that had broken or worn out. Now, I could go buy new parts, and often I do, but I was having difficulty finding the correct version from the stores and online places. I have a pile of parts that will not work and will take too much time to send back. What is the next best thing? Take the correct parts off another vehicle for pennies. Anyhow, I was out doing just that. I started getting a lot of parts, including a new hood for my truck. The one I had was scratched, and the painting cost more than a 30.00 hood already painted. OK, back to my story, I had not long ago bought some used parts off eBay, and while at the pick and pull, I saw the same parts for 90% less. It hit me: time to make money. After filling the back of my truck with stuff and taking it home, I listed them on Craigslist and sold almost all of it. The result was that I paid for new seat upholstery for the truck, the trip, and my time. My dad took stuff home that had good value all the time, but he never sold it. He kept it just in case he needed it. Ok, ok, ok, the point? I forgot, but my Dad bought a How to Become a Gun Dealer package and gave it to me for Christmas. It took some time, but he kept after me to use it, and I did. What a ride it will take me on. Good and bad, and what I feel is why a young family should not start a gun business. I will later talk about how I needed this business and why I wish I had kept it a hobby.
